Reese Witherspoon has signed on to director James L. Brooks’ new comedy How Do You Know?

The Four Christmases actress has agreed to work with ‘The Simpsons’ producer -whose last project as a director was 2004 comedy Spanglish – on his next film, which he has also written.

Reese is so far the only star to be cast in the project, which is said to be an ensemble piece in the vain of Brooks’ famed works Terms Of Endearment and Broadcast News.

The movie is scheduled to begin shooting in March.
