Reese Witherspoon has reportedly spent $1,200 to repair a chicken’s broken leg.

The 33-year-old actress decided to spend the fortune on the bird, who became injured on the family’s ranch in California, after her daughter Ava, 10, and 6-year-old son Deacon were left devastated by the winged creature’s growing pain.

A source told The National Enquirer: “Reese wasn’t too broken up about the bird’s injury, figuring it would be best to have it put down. But the kids couldn’t stop crying, so she rushed it to a vet. The animal is doing fine now.”
